Two Weeks in South Florida!

Hi Guys!

Today, marks two weeks in South Florida! I have not stopped moving in the past two weeks. I love what I do its been really intense with trying to get familiar with my surroundings, preparing for visits, and trying to move fast. If we did not have challenges if just really would not be life I suppose. I am very happy in that I made the right decision. There are other areas that I am struggling with here but its a matter of time passing that other aspects will get a little easier.

I am taking driving classes hopefully starting next week! This will be first attempt at driving I am not going to worry about it I am just going to go do my thing and get my drivers license, the goal is before turning 28 on July 27th.

Social life is here well I do not know because I have not gone out yet however I did make it Singer Island and I got to see the ocean! I am starting to make friends here which is great.

I do miss my Chicago family a great deal there are a few aspects of Chicago life that does not compare close to here. But I stay focused and on my mission.

The next blog... Driving 101
Stay tuned!

From The Beginning...

I departed Chicago, Illinois at approximately 8 55am Sunday, June 4, 2011, destination Palm Beach Gardens, Florida! Leading up to this departure was quite emotional as I said farewell to so many amazing friends with so many cards, well wishes, and writings to keep me inspired as I trudge unknown waters. I left Chicago to pursue my dreams, opportunity knocked and I went for it. The unknown did not scare me I do what my part and as a result of my hard work I was given this chance. Upon arriving in PGA I felt secure and that my decision was good. Everything feels right it is nice to live somewhere for all the right reasons and to be moving towards change.

As most of you know I am from New Orleans so to be in the South again is closer to home and my roots. It really is nice here I was able to find a great place to live very quickly and to have a couple of cool roommates not to mention a loving dog named "Boo Boo".

The job has been non-stop since I walked through the door and its quite amazing. I have a lot of work laid out in front of me and the best part is I am up for the challenge! To my Old Orchard family and Michigan Ave team thank you all for the inspiration you have given me to never lose hope in my dream.

I am off to Miami tomorrow for work more to come soon!
